UPDATE (5/25)
Here is the official statement from Heineken representatives in regards to the upcoming shows following our Heineken related posts here and here as well as the info below and in our Facebook Event:
Heineken Red Star Access and Kanye West presents G.O.O.D. Music kick off event is taking place in New York on June 9th. Heineken representatives have explained that the ONLY way to get in to this event is to win your way in through a contest that will start on Monday, June 6th that Hot97.com is hosting. Information on the other Heineken Red Star Access shows taking place around the country can be found at Heineken’s Red Star Access Facebook page.
Previous Updates:
Please note the words "educated guess" below. We are going off of the information in front of us. Ultimately we want as many people that want to go in as possible, and want to keep you informed.
UPDATE: Hey look, PulsdJFK has an "exclusive" with the same info and no credit days after we posted this... Go figure...
Anyway, our educated guess:
The event will be held in Manhattan, either in the warehouse where Nas / Cee-Lo went down, so Pier 36, 299 South Street on the Lower East Side, or where Cold War Kids / MTV Skins parties happened at 330 West Street on the west side.
It has already been confirmed here that its going down on Thursday, June 9th. Our guess is that doors will open around 4 and there will be a few openers before Kanye goes on a bit later. This is to get the hardcore fans / people who don't have to work in, with everyone else trickling in afterwards.
As for the openers... Well see the screenshot below. Heineken Red Star Soul like about 7 things on Facebook, where the contest info will be. These likes include Kanye West, Heineken, G.O.O.D. Music, Roc Nation, a few products, and coincidentally Wiz Khalifa and Pusha T.
It seems like a fairly logical thing to say that Wiz and Pusha T will be opening this show and Pusha T obviously appearing and segwaying to Kanye. The dates certainly line up too. Wiz has a hiatus between the Roots Picnic on June 4th in Philly and Bonnaroo on June 11th, while Pusha T is open after appearing at the Bamboozle Roadshow in Indianapolis on June 2nd.
Anyway, that's what we're seeing. We want to keep you informed in this matter, so please attend and comment with your email in our Facebook Event if you haven't already so we can email you as soon as we hear other news about this.
2 questions:
ReplyDelete1.) Are all Heineken events 21+?
2.) Every time I click the facebook button it just brings me back to home. Is there another link or something?
I wanna go but I don't have a Facebook
ReplyDeleteEmail us at myfreeconcertny@gmail.com. Given that it is Heineken sponsored, it probably will be 21+. We'll keep you posted.
ReplyDeleteis it first come first serve?
ReplyDeleteIs there a way to get tickets to the concert without selling my privacy in FB?
