UPDATE (7/12): Rumor has it that Talib Kweli may very well be the special guest performer at this event.
This event will showcase the boldest of Brooklyn's visual arts. These are the names, shapes and designs you see every day on our borough's walls, sidewalks and galleries. This large group show will encompass the evolution of graffiti into street art, its move from train cars to gallery walls and its journey alongside brother hip-hop. Graffiti and hip-hop were two sides of the same coin that have evolved and increased in value since their inception. Both have been ingrained as pop culture fixtures by appearing in advertising, fashion and corporate worlds. Added elements include photography, free give-a-ways, DJs, video projection and musical performance.
