Ticket Giveaway: Win one of 5 pairs of tickets to Adele

The fine people at iheartradio continue to be good to us. British songstress Adele (who's new album "21" is out stateside February 22) will be performing an intimate invite-only show on Feburary 11 at P.C. Richard & Son Theater, and MyFreeConcert has been hooked up with five pairs of tickets to dole out to our loyal readers! We're gonna run this similar to the way we did our Sara Bareilles contest last month.

How to win:

Twitter people: Tweet "I want to win tickets to Adele from @myfreeconcertny http://bit.ly/e4oiqN" - We'd also appreciate a follow so if you do win we can easily DM you.

Facebook people: Like us on Facebook and email myfreeconcertny@gmail.com with your name.

If social networks aren't your bag, just shoot us an e-mail with your name and why you want to win.

Additionally, if you want to increase your odds of attending the show, you can also enter iheartradio's exclusive contest here as well as several of the other Adele contests we've linked to on our giveaway page (scroll down to Feb 11).

We'll announce the winners early next week. Good luck people!

  2. MyFreeConcert is the only website I know that compiles a list of free shows every day and encourages everybody to check out a variety of artists. Thanks to this website, I've researched singers/bands that I've never thought about listening to and fell in love. MyFreeConcert has easily made it to one of my most visited websites since I've discovered it.

Adele's voice is unreal. She just might have one of the best voices of our generation. The emotion and soul she puts into each of her songs and performances leaves me in awe. I really don't know why the U.S. hasn't embraced Adele but the need to immediately. Adele is simply amazing.

  3. I love MyFreeConcert because you guys are the cure for boredom and sobriety. You guys always have the scoop on the latest, greatest events and I've won so many free tickets because of y'all [a savior for a concert junkie on a budget]. I love Adele because she's genuinely talented and is really focused on making music. She's a breath of fresh air compared to many pop stars who seem just desperate for attention. Adele just makes stunning, moving, groovable music.

  4. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!!

MyFreeConcert makes my life interesting. For someone who is absolutely obsessed with freebies and music (read: me), this blog could not be more of a gold mine! With the help of MFC, I've become the go-to person for fun plans. My friends and I get to do way cool things for way less cash...what could be more perfect?!

Adele is one of those singers that I know every song by and just about every word to every song. She pops up on my iTunes or Pandora often (to say the least) and every time, no matter what my mood, the volume goes all the way up on my computer/iPod anddddd...my voice, much to the dismay of anyone nearby. My attempts at a beautifully raspy, soulful sound like Adele's are hopeless, much like my love life at the moment, making this the perfect early Valentine's present ;)

  5. Adele is simply amazing, her beautiful voice is like they often describe a "heartbroken soul". She's my favorite type of music gospel, jazz and soulful. She was my first exposure to UK singers and I'm grateful of it. Also like to thank you for all the opportunities you generously compile for us....I planning on taking full advantage of your postings!!: )

  6. I love you guys because instead of having to scour the Internet for contests and free concerts it's all listed right here. You're like an encyclopedia of amazingness. Please pick me for the Adele tickets! I've been a massive fan since the first time I heard her beautiful voice on Chasing Pavements

  8. I can't even name all the nights MyFreeConcert has saved. I get a feeling from every single event posted that you guys just want everyone to have the best possible experience. It's sad how rare that is, but I couldn't be more thankful to find it!

As far as Adele is concerned, from the moment I heard Chasing Pavements I was hooked. Not only is her voice incredible, but I can listen to so many of her songs and find a moment in my life attached to it. For example Hometown Glory was my homesick song when I was away and just wanted to be a Brooklyn girl again. Now to see her here would be a dream come true.

  9. MyFreeConcert is the most helpful and fun site on the net today. not only do you inform about free awesome events. you have contests like this to give people a chance to see something special. you have given me and my friends memorable nights

I'm such a huge fan because she is just an amazing talent. her voice goes right thru me. the soulfulness is so overwhelming. even tho she doesn't have typical look that singers have. she is incredible beautiful and inspiring. i cried hearing turning tables for the first time off her new album because it spoke to me so much.

  10. Adele's album "19" was the story of my life at 19. The songs of new love, old love, and love lost resonated with me in a way that no album ever had. The songs got me through difficult times. This year, I'll be 21. I'd like to see how she's grown as an artist and how her music can assist in my own growth.

  11. Adele is without a doubt one of the best artists doing it today. Her voice's timber alone is unbelievably unique, but her conceptualization and approach to topics such as heartbreak and love make it even better. The way she mixes blues and soul vocal technique with acoustic and alternative sounds is just the cherry on top. Cos DAMN can this girl blow!
It's clear this girl has been influenced by the likes of Janis Joplin to Lauryn Hill to Mariah Carey. Adele is all encompassing.

  13. Congrats to Deidre. She's won our first pair of tickets to the Adele show. Though we're feeling even more generous and might as well say this: we are going to give a second pair away early again tomorrow before 3 pm. If you've commented, you're good and will automatically be entered. If not, get to it, kid! Thank you all for the wonderful comments.

  14. Adele what is not to like. I have loved her ever since she came out on the music scene. She is not your average generic pop artist. She can actually sing and her songs have meaning and depth. Which is refreshing, since everyone's trying to find their next hook to sell a million copies of some heavily arranged and edited mashup. I have fallen in love with her raspy voice, and music. I can listen to her for hours, whether its a good day or a bad day. I would be over joyed if I won tickets to see her, and would be ever so greatful.

  15. What's not to like about 'My Free Concert'. People say nothing's free..and y'all prove that saying wrong, ha! :-)

And as far as Adele is concerned..OoooWee! The music, the lyrics, just the way she sings!..it takes me to places that I wanna go! Phew!

  16. MyFreeConcert. Whew. I mean, what's not to love? And by "love," I mean "LOVEEE." I stay on top killer events in New York City, with the added (glorious) bonus of things being FREE. It's umm a no-brainer. Also, this blog helps me find new and interesting artists that I haven't heard about before; not only does it give the exciting opportunity to see some spectacular acts, but it's broadening my musical horizons.

Adele is THE voice of this generation. Every single song haunts me (I do my best to sing along), with her incredibly honest lyrics and passionate voice. There's that touch of rasp, that little growl... UGHH. She makes my insides do crazy things. I want to weep and laugh at the same time from the outrageous brilliance and power. I receieved "Hometown Glory" as a free download on iTunes BACK IN THE DAY, and was floored from the opening notes. '19' is a near-perfect album, and the stuff I've heard from '21' is going to elevate Adele to superstar status; "Set Fire to the Rain" and "Someone Like You" are already anthems for my life, and "Rolling in the Deep" has become a serious party jam. There's something pure about a simple piano melody and unbridled vocal talent that runs chills down my entire body. She's also a charming, hilarious young woman, with that gorgeous red hair and the most wonderful little "cackle" (her word).

Plus, February 11th is my 21st birthday... sooo it's kind of perfect, right?

  17. OMG I want those tickets so bad I'm literally on the verge of tears. I think what you guys do is amazing. it's more then just giving awat free tix, you give people a chance to attend a concert they otherwise wouldn't be able to. I love that and I love you guys.

I am Adele's biggest fan, there's no other artist I would die to see. When she sings she brings everything, everday I sing her songs from chasing pavements (helped me to realize to stop chasing this guy: thank god) to daydreamer to rolling in the deep. It's hard to even put into words how much I LOVE Adele & describe what it would mean to me to win those tickets. life changing! Now I'm going to go sing some Adele (off key) lol

  18. Whoever doesn't love MyFreeConcertTickets exclusivity to events is right out CRAZY!! You guys never let us down & constantly bring THE NEW NOW NEXT Factor whenever you report an upcoming event!

I have been a fan of Adele's since she 1st stepped on to the scene. It would be a blessing to be in the presence of an Artist who has gotten me through the roughest of times in my life. I tried to get tickets to see her in NYC back in 2009 & had no such luck.

It will honestly mean a great deal to me if I were chosen for the win & I would forever be indebted to you guys! I would personally like to thank you guys for making us all feel like we hold a place behind the scenes with all the event details you bring us!

  19. Simply put, Adele sharing her talent and MFC generously sharing their knowledge and opportunities have both improved my quality of life ; )

I have missed many opportunities to see Adele live in the past but I am not giving up as I have tons of respect and admiration for her. I hope I can see her at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater!

  21. This would be the PERFECT birthday surprise for me. It has been a tought year, to say the least, and Adele's goosebump worthy voice and heartbreakingly soulful lyrics has transended my personal experiences and has truly spoken to me. Her new album is pure art and it would be an honor to hear her perform live. Please let me see this tremendous inspiration and fellow old soul.

  25. Despite being lucky enough to score a post-grad job in this seemingly never ending economic slump, the constant barrage of bills -- rent, electricity, heat, internet, etc. -- means frivolous spending is still something that lies in my distant future, rather than in my 9-to-5 present. That's why I love My Free Concert. Shelling out a big percentage of my next student loan payment for a concert hardly seems manageable (damn you, four year private college!). But with My Free Concert, I find constant, up-to-date posts about free (or close to free!) music events that I can easily manage to get to, and can definitely enjoy on my post grad budget.

Hearing an opportunity to see Adele live, for free, really sings to my soul. From what I've heard of her new album 21, it's like she ripped pages right out of my internal diary and wrote them in song, singing them with more emotion than I could ever convey on page in a book or a post on a blog. Like most of her fans, I feel personal connection to "Someone Like You" in particular. Call it the case of the "One That Got Away," but when I hear her sing "I hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded that for me it isn't over," my thoughts immediately go to that certain someone who I constantly miss, but who isn't missing me. His name is Jeff, if you're curious.

And, on a less serious and emotional note, I've just made "Set Fire to the Rain" my ringtone. Sometimes, I don't even want to pick up the phone.

Winning tickets would mean the world to this post-grad, single girl wishing for that "Someone Like You" and, of course, the chance to see Adele live.

  26. So about myfreeconcertny? What's not to like? free tickets, no strings, all honesty. you really can't go wrong. Just not sure why more people haven't jumped on this already!?!

Now onto Adele. my girlfriend is a huge fan and recently got into a huge fight. I remember her mentioning Adele and how she would love to see her perform but wasn't sure if she would be coming stateside anytime soon. Being that Valentine's Day is coming up, it would mean the world to her if I could surprise her with tickets. Not to mention she has an amazing voice.

  27. Adele is an absolutely one in a kind artist. Her voice is a gift and listening to her brings out so much emotion. Music is my heartbeat point blank period. And seeing my favorite musicians *cough*ADELE*cough* is what keeps me alive, to be able to see up close and personal those musicians who i support.

now...MyFreeConcertNy? You know you're awesome..you do it for the fans and its Free.99? My favorite price in the world. You're an awesome website and i am eternally grateful that stumbled upon your website

  30. Hello MyFreeConcert,

First of all let me tell you about the 2 loves in my life. One= myfreeconcert.blogspot.com. Two= Adele. Now its time for some ménages à trois (yes I googled the French spelling). Anyway, although I consider you to be the best kept secret online, I do reveal the glories that are yours almighty blog. I 'like' you on Facebook, and will do anything else for you. I want these tickets real bad. I'm dying to see Adele's new stuff live.

  32. Why I should win.

MyFreeConcertTicketsNY is pure brilliance. To be able to give out free tickets for concerts such as Adele's and advertise for artists is something that I find completely amazing. I recently moved to New York and had no idea that free tickets were given away like this, for concerts such as Adele's. I'm still a little surprised... and overexcited. I have been spreading the news to my friends that it is real - free tickets, beautiful music, all in one.

As for Adele... This woman has a second home in my ears. Every day, all the time. What I value most about her is that she is incredibly honest with her music.. she says what she wants to say, when she wants to say it, how she wants to say it - no sugarcoating. Her music is ridiculously beautiful. And so is she. She is my first love - and I won't find someone else like her.:)

    I love Adele, and you.
    Pick me.

    LOVE,

    Austin G.
