(le) Poisson Rouge, NAXOS, America-Israel Cultural Foundation, and Metropolis Ensemble invite you to a FREE party to celebrate mandolinist Avi Avital. Avi's solo performance on Metropolis Ensemble's first studio album, Avner Dorman's Concertos, earned a Grammy nomination for Avi and Conductor Andrew Cyr and Metropolis Ensemble.

Drop by and join us as Avi performs selections throughout the evening from Avner Dorman's vibrant, genre-bending Mandolin Concerto, Béla Bartóks rhapsodic Roumanian Folk Dances, and selections from Bach. Attendees will have the opportunity to toast with Avi, Metropolis artists, and Artistic Director/ Conductor Andrew Cyr. Two free drinks per attendee!

Avi Avital is an Israeli mandolin player (born 1978) and graduate of the Jerusalem Music Academy and the Padua Conservatory. Metropolis Ensemble is a nonprofit professional chamber orchestra dedicated to emerging the next generation of performers and composers.
